The brief:

Thread is an iPad-only magazine launching in Australia that connects people with the cultural undercurrents of Melbourne. I was tasked with coming up with the logo and branding for the magazine, as well as designing an issue of thread, including the cover, feature articles and interactive content. This was a student brief with a deadline of one day. 

 

 

THE SOLUTION:

The name Thread implies that this magazine is the fibre that links the trendsters of the city with the stories that matter to them, so my magazine incorporated a number of elements running through the logo and magazine spreads, to connect the different elements to one another. The magazine's signature colour, a vibrant yellow, features predominately across pages and a number of custom graphic elements provide repetition and consistency across spreads and interactive features.
